Davis desperately needs a redshirt year. Went from 125 BT champ and 133 aa to having no gas tank and not being able to stay off his back.
141 QF Mat 1 - Braeden Davis vs. Vance Vombaur
First period
Vombauer gets the first takedown with about a minute left after Davis tried a bit to fight it off. Davis gets an escape late int the first to 3-1. That's how the first period ends.
Second period
I stink. Sorry gang. Davis got the initial takedown of the period to lead 5-4, but Vombaur scored seven uanswered from there to lead 11-5 after two. Beleive it was takedown and two nearfall plus an escape, but not sure. Either way, 11-5 VV after two.
Third period
Escape and TD for VV makes it 15-5 in the third. VV catches and turns Davis for four. That's it

Is Davis automatically in or does he need another win to qualify for nationals?
I heard a few people say that Davis was going to open some eyes in this tournament, but I really wasn’t seeing it. Lo and behold, I was right.
Blaze looked really good widening the gap on Shawver.

Davis can’t wrestle longer than 5-6 minutes at this weight. Didn’t see this coming when he became the guy. He’s approaching Andrew Alton level.
I swear, can someone, anyone, tell Davis to stop getting behind his opponent on his a$$ and letting them get him on his side. He does it every frking match and ends up on his back. Wth is he thinking wrestling like that.
R U kidding me? Yeah that 3rd year kid needs a redshirt. No matter, I don't see him starting again, 141 is too deep.
Top 7 at B10s, but Davis is virtually a lock for an At Large berth.
In hindsight maybe Desmond should have went- he at least seemed to want to wrestle
I believe he is too emotional and just doesn't think about sequential outcomes.

A lot of white guys at 149. Shayne could be in some trouble.
It’s crazy though as moves up and doesn’t need to cut as much weight he lost all coniditioning.
SVN won on stalling points. Block took him down early and ran for the rest of the match. 5-4 win w/ a 2-point stalling with less than ten seconds left.
My guess is that he’ll shoot his shot for a starting spot next year then redshirt then portal.
Penn State starts session one at 5-1. The takedown count over those matches is 9-3 in favor of the Lions. All three were in the Davis match, of course.
Shane said bloch hasnt been called for stalling yet even though he had been called for stalking twice already and then got another
Starting to think, he doesn't think much at all out there. Just really sloppy and constantly puts himself in bad positions.
Also, now that I'm caught up, how about that Byrd pick by me?! 
Davis is likely redshirting next year. remember, he was supposed to this year.
