Agree. He'd not mean enough. He should have grabbed an arm and twisted it or poked his fingers into the guy's eyes and then said "I'm sorry".
I believe I saw a wrestling video recently, might have been a PSU one: you take the hand/arm and push it down hard and as the wrestler brings it up you do a single leg under it. It has to be set up but looked very workable.

Mat center must be drinking faster than me. They correctly list PSU as having 8 in the finals. However, they also have Nebraska and Minnesota with 6 each and Iowa with 4 finalists. In fact....Mat Center lists a total of 57 finalists. WOW.....is Wrestlestat involved with setting up the finals? Gonna be some crowded mats :)

Is Davis done or could he still qualify for NCAAs? He's a solid wrestler for about 4 minutes of each match but the tank is just not there this year.

He will wrestle for seventh place tomorrow. If he wins an automatic bid, if he loses, he'll need an at large.

So how close to locking team title?

I'm not certain, but in truth the answer is variable. Every time a wrestler for a team that is trailing PSU, but is in 2nd or 3rd place in the team race, loses, or doesn't get a pin, then it reduces their maximum potential score, and thus reduces what PSU has to do to lock up the title.

PSU has 8 in the finals. tOSU (2nd in the team race) has 3 in the finals. Nebraska is in 3rd place, and they have 5 in the finals.

SVN ... never a doubt. As long as he doesn't get pinned in the 1st period, I expect him to have a much bigger tank in the 2nd & 3rd period (especially the 3rd).
It's just who he is, a few years back at NCAAs down big to Ethen Miller, Paniro Johnson, I think Cayden Rooks had him down big too, he picked up steam and almost knocked off Yanni in the Semis.

With Nationals several posters would put out 'possible max points remaining' and at some point there weren't enough left for Penn State to lose. I would think way too many points outstanding to call it mathmaticlly

How about every other sport at psu?

Why is it mostly 5* wrestlers producing? Who is coaching Davis?

What was Cael's excuse at ISU?

Psu Wrestling also has the highest paid staff. Pa is the state with the most talent surrounded by other talent rich states. Wrestling is also one of the sports with the least competition. Half the P5 schools don't even have wrestling. Sec schools put that money into football. You never saw edinboro, clarion or Bloomsburg with top 10 finishes in football.

Go to Penn State Wrestling Clubs site and look at their scoreboard. It has the info you are seeking.

The Max scores for tOSU and for Nebraska (and PSU) are on the Penn State Wrestling Club's web site.

Currently, PSU has 146.5 points, tOSU has 115.5 points, and Nebraska has 112 points.

The Max scores for those 3 teams are:

PSU - 206
tOSU - 187.5
Nebraska - 165

So at this point in time, PSU is 41.5 points from locking up the title

187.5 (tOSU's max points)
-146.5 (PSU's current points)
= 41.0

tOSU has 6 in the consolation semis, and 1 in the 7th/8th match, so they have 7 wrestlers going in Session III. Each time they don't pin their opponent, then the max bonus won't be obtained, so tOSU's Max score will go down. How much it goes down depends on whether they TF their opponent, MAJ their opponent, or lose to their opponent.

PSU has 1 in the consolation semis, and 1 in the 7th/8th match. So PSU won't have a lot of chance to increase their score during Session III.

He wasn't down big to paniro. Shayne hit a 7 pt move early and then hung on
