I hate to pile on to Davis, but I think his biggest problem is he isn't as good of a scrambler as he thinks he is. He wants to roll around with guys, and he always gives up position. If he wrestled more like Bartlett, he would be much further ahead. When he hits a calculated shot, he usually converts. I just really think he wants to be a different guy than he is.

I could be all wet but that is my view of him.

All of this could be true, but we need to support his run to AA tomorrow. Can we stop killing the 1 kid who might not AA but is top 16 wrestler as his weight. A lot of schools would kill for that.

I'll use BK for Kueter. Always an interesting matchup when these two meet

Lots of forehead-to-forehead early on. Then ear-to-ear and pushing into each other, but no shots thru 1 min. Mirasola in on a single, BK sprawls, Cole to a double, BK still sprawling, and a stalemate with 0:41 left. Would be nice for Cole to get a TD this period, but it's looking unlikely. End

Per 2
BK takes bottom. BK up quickly and out in 3 or 4 sec, 0-1. Cole in on a single, and BK sprawls. Cole working up, and BK reaches over to grab an ankle, and a stalemate with 1:27 left. I always feels like tie-ups favor BK, though he hasn't done anything with them in this match. 30 sec left, and not much action. End. RT @ 0:03 for Mirasola.

Per 3
Cole takes neutral, so he needs a TD. A bit of a flurry, but nothing close to a TD y either guy. Cole reaches for an ankle, nothing. 1:15 left. Too much ear-to-ear for my liking for Cole. Cole gets a single, BK reaches over then spins off of it, and BK is in the best position, and he gets the TD with 22 sec left, 4-0. RT not a factor. End

Mirasola drops a 4-0 DEC for Ben Kueter, and will be in consolations tomorrow.

Yeah it was really weird. I felt like he was getting better every match and it just felt like he regressed pretty harshly at the end.

Feel bad for Cole. He took all of the shots. Had a leg deep 3 times but got his head stuck. Just not strong enough at his weight. Would love him to make a run on the back side but he’ll face some big bodies

As far as wrestling goes, I would say wrong. I am not a wrestle. I am an ice hockey guy that has coached at a fairly high level so my observations are based upon my interaction with athletes through the years.

Some guys just fight who they are.

For crying out loud Cole. Way too much time practicing scrambles with scooter. Zero sense of positioning. That was hard to watch, he should have easily won that match.

Cole has a tough path in the consis. First consi is winnable, but then he gets Chrisitan Carroll who beat him already this season. Looks like a 2-2 exit is coming soon.

Not sure about everyone else, but PSU went chalk in round 2. We are where we expected to be. LFG. No upsets or injuries, we are in perfect position.

Strength is definitely an issue along with pausing too long when he gets in on a leg.
