Period 1:
The last match of this session. Here we go! Collar ties & hand fighting. Carroll has a pretty big brace on his left knee. Carroll reaches for a leg, but can't get there. Cole shoots, but Carroll fights him off. Back to center tying up & hand fighting. Cole pushes forward & reaches for an ankle, but can't get there. Cole pushes forward taking Carroll to the edge. Carroll throws in an underhook & pushes back to center. More hand fighting & tying up. Cole pushes forward taking Carroll to the edge again. Carroll circles back to center. Cole shoots, but Carroll blocks him off. Tying up & pushing for a bit. More of the same to end the period. 0-0

Period 2:
Cole takes down. He pops up & gets the escape, 1-0. Tying up & pushing. Cole pushes forward & shoots. Carroll counters & gets a leg on the edge. He drags Cole back in bounds & jumps on his legs for the TD, 3-1. Out of bounds & restart. Cole is still down. Caution on Carroll. Cole works to his feet & gets the escape, 3-1. He's correct. Davis can shirt next year, and as of right now he's the best 2028 option at 149 unless Blaze grows.

Perhaps by then we can forgive Davis for not living up to our expectations.

Davis is not guaranteed a starting spot at PSU two years from now. We are talking PSU. Cael can snap his fingers and find someone seeded higher than #14 in two seconds.

He looks checked out. Funny - 3 OK State wrestlers on the 8 mat screen (Facundo and Ryder the others). TD in the first period 0 for, 1 against.
The 3 wound up 1-2 with 1 td (zero in regulation). Combine them with Vega and we are not seeing a offensive juggernaut arising in Stillwater.

Psycho was pissed because Hepner tried to torque his ankle and then later his knee, that’s the way it looked to me.
I agree with the fact that MM could have been pissed over the torque applied. But my statement was about PJ duke getting hit in the jewels, not MM.

Who do you think is better between antrell Taylor and drake Ayala? They seem pretty even to me tbh

If Forrest wins out (and that's a big if given his real competition starts tonight) then I personally don't think there is a comparison between the depth of 133 and 157. Marcus Blaze at the 3 seed (and seidel at 4) are both far superior to the 2 seed at 157

Only one of Taylor and Ayala is a National Champ and still alive in the championship round this tournament.

You know, I've thought about it some (not the frogger suggestion, but my messenbrink hodge comments) and I have to change my stance slightly. The lack of heart displayed at the end of that match should at least cost Mitchell that category in Hodge criteria. It is now Barr's to lose imo
you still here?

I was trying to figure out what the guy could’ve done in that situation, to delay the takedown call by two seconds. Then I figured, he’s a better wrestler than me, maybe there was no way.
What if he went nuts and did some ultimately useless inchworm bucking thing with his legs and walking on hands with his hands, with nonstop forward progress. Could that somehow look like lack of control to the ref? Kind of like Tom Brands’ wild movement when he really was pinned.

No you couldn't
A younger friend of mine was all excited. He was going to pick his kid up from wrestling practice. The club coach was a former Rider wrestler. I forget his name, but he had been pretty good in college. My buddy had gotten the club coach to agree to go takedowns. I tried to tell him stay away from that guy. The worst guy at the NCAA D1 tournament is a freaking beast, let alone this guy. My buddy still showed up for our 5AM workout, but all he did was whine about how bad the beating was.
