He looks checked out. Funny - 3 OK State wrestlers on the 8 mat screen (Facundo and Ryder the others). TD in the first period 0 for, 1 against.
#5 Lockett (Okla. St.) in some trouble in Cons. R3. He's down 5-0 to #13 seed Sparks (Minny), and the ref is holding 4 NF (now awarded, so it's 9-0). Plus Sparks has over 2 minutes of RT and we're in the 2nd period.
And just like that, Lockett gets a REV late in the period, so it's 9-2, heading into the 3rd period

I think the 2026 team title has been locked, for years.
We can find a HIGHER seed.
There are no bonus points for bad losses which result in a lower seed.

He's correct. Davis can shirt next year, and as of right now he's the best 2028 option at 149 unless Blaze grows.
Perhaps by then we can forgive Davis for not living up to our expectations.

Braeden is one hell of a great teammate. One of the first in line to congratulate others. But something is going on with him. I dont know, or need to know, what that is.

Good for Sparks, this is his 5th National Tournament and finally a shot to get on the podium. I remember him wrestling Joe Lee in the first round back at the 21 Tournament.

If Forrest wins out (and that's a big if given his real competition starts tonight) then I personally don't think there is a comparison between the depth of 133 and 157. Marcus Blaze at the 3 seed (and seidel at 4) are both far superior to the 2 seed at 157
