I don't think 197 is better than 141 but 141 gets a pass for some reason from nations pundits. It's really not that great of a weight class.Who says? 141 wasn't exactly a jungle

There’s a simple way to fix this. If you don’t even quality for the Oly trials, then you don’t get an ORS. If you can’t even qualify for the trials, your Olympic quest was never serious. Facundo took an ORS because he was forced out of the lineup by MM, but at least he trained freestyle and made the trials, even if he was never going to actually make the team. That’s the minimum that should be done to earn an ORS.He did, though to be completely fair there's nothing in the Olympic Shirt rules saying that you must compete during that year -- which makes sense, you wouldn't want someone to lose a year of NCAA eligibility while training freestyle because he got hurt in practice.
Ferrari of course abused that. He never intended to compete. That year was about staying out of trouble and rehabilitating his image into merely a knucklehead, so that some sucker would let him transfer in.
I'll root for thebkid who had mental issues, left the team, came back, #27 seed and AAed.lol. no. ran his mouth too much
In my uneducated opinion - no, and no.Yeah, but has anyone ever finished a season with a 100% bonus rate and if he does, can that be put aside?
Ok state is winning all of these bogus reviews. What the heck is going on?![]()
this robinson vs spratley match is a **** show of reffing.
Was super happy to see Hepner take it to Paddy. LOL.Bryce Hepner with his version of a middle finger to Tan Tom and anOSU.
Why the hell did Spratley take down in TB2 ... weird
It looks like Duke will be up first & then Marcus. I'll start with whichever starts 1st & hopefully it'll all workout.@SlipperyPete, Blaze and Duke could be going at the same time. I'll figure on handling the PBP on Duke, and will only hold off if delays cause them to not be competing at the same time.
What medical does AJ have? ***** move. At least Angelo actually has been battling injury for the last two months.

Seidel 11-0 over Ayala. Wow
Unless Davino beats Jax…Kharchla/Kennedy will most likely determine 4th/5th between anOSU and Iowa.

He was 5th, right behind the four SuperFroshI kind of feel sorry for Ayala, I know the landscape changed this year, but he regressed.
Unless Davino beats Jax…
If only spencer would of coached him upDrake finishes 5th. One of the more interesting careers to have followed. From that comeback victory over McKee his freshman year to the loss by fall to Spencer at the Soldier Salute, a couple of appearances in the finals and three AA’s.
Great result for Stanich.Stanich (Lehigh) up on Hardy (Nebraska), 6-2, at the end of the 2nd period, in the 141 3rd place match
Best offense versus best defense, should be a good one. That's where the most likely comes in but yes, Davino beating Jax would be yuge.
Yes. He’s going to be force the next two years.Great result for Stanich.
If you don’t qualify due to injury or illness, then you can get a medical RS instead.Hard no.
The point of the Olympic Shirt is the long-term development of future world team (including depth) capable of winning world titles. No need to disturb that just because one jackass abused the system to our distaste, but with little to no actual damage to the sport.
The incentive created above would effectively destroy the Olympic Shirt. If you don't qualify for any reason -- including injury or illness -- then you lose a year of NCAA eligibility. Why would anybody take that risk?
Add onto that: the Olympic Shirt allows athletes to not enroll in school that year in order to train full-time. So if you get sick or injured and miss Trials, and get your Olympic Shirt revoked, then you're also academically ineligible for the next NCAA year. Again, why would anybody do this?
ESPN too busy with a full view 5th place match.duke didn't take long for that takedown
You have to get ESPN plus. I find it a pain in the *** to navigate on Apple TV but I don't miss too much. You could move around or the Matt cast channel and click on the match. You'd like to see or you could move through the screens available and just go to it from there, but they don't seem to have the match listed as one through whatever they seem to be in some random orderESPN too busy with a full view 5th place match.![]()
