Jax didn't go to McCort for the education and certainly didn't move to Johnstown for its slums, dilapidated old steel mills or for the crack heads the government funded to move them here. . He came here to wrestle. That’s interesting because I know a guy that lived in that area and said everyone sends their kids to private schools because the public schools are terrible. He made it sound like education wasn’t really a priority down there.

There is a no shiit moment.Mitchell Mesenbrink wins the most dominant wrestler award.
I disagree how many times did wrestlers stand up from th bottom and the top guy hopped them out of bounds.CS: “I mean, we just — our guys move forward. You watch the matches and our guys are moving forward the whole time. If they had a push-out rule, that would be great for our program. I hope they do.
“I was against that for all these years, but it’s probably something to — because it’s just really hard to call stalling. Refs, obviously don’t want to call stalling even when they are stalling.
I'm for it too!
I was 21.I was 20 when a graduated with my bachelors, of course I wasn’t an athlete, but yeah
After hearing that AJ presser, I'm now truly convinced he did turn his entire life over to Jesus.Somebody should test Ford Focus' hair.
No kidding. I was being sarcastic.Jax didn't go to McCort for the education and certainly didn't move to Johnstown for its slums, dilapidated old steel mills or for the crack heads the government funded to move them here. . He came here to wrestle.
The PIAA Special. Token stall call at the end of the match, whether warranted or not, and when it doesn't make any difference.I just want to point out that the stall call on Levi with like 15 seconds left was laughable.
At NO point in that ENTIRE match did Levi ever back away from Minto. He was squared up and generally within reach for the entire match, and was even still angling for a potential clinching shot if a good, sharp one became available.
It didn't matter, of course, but the lack of consistency is driving me absolutely nuts
Was?GUYS STOP CORRECTING ME I WAS HAMMERED![]()

Oh I know. I just wanted to throw a dig in about my hometown and what our leaders have done to this once great town. LolNo kidding. I was being sarcastic.
Caliendo must have nightmares about Messenbrink. To put that kind of a beating on a wrestler of Caliendo's caliber, especially when it is the ninth time you have faced him, is unbelievable. I am looking forward to re-watching that match.
If they wrestled each other 20 times, MM wins 25 of them.Back after like the 3rd or 4th time they faced off, some were saying Caliendo wins 1 out 10. Wished they could have wrestled one more to see if that was accurate. Lmao
Unfortunately, was is the correct word. To get back to present tense at this late hour would be a tad too alcoholic. Was?
I like and appreciate that choice. So much better than the Big10 vote.NWCA Special Awards:
Wrestlers with most falls at nationals: PJ Duke.
National tournament coach of the year (coaches vote for the winner): Chris Ayres of Stanford
Refs find it more appropriate to give a token stall call in the last 30 secs than to call actual stalling in the first. But they never call the second if it affects the outcome. It’s an appeasement, nothing moreI just want to point out that the stall call on Levi with like 15 seconds left was laughable.

Sad to hear, when I went to Big Tens, I got 5, 1/2 gallons and my family did not want the Death by Chocolate one. Gave to a neighbor and not sure he wanted it. I would have dropped off for you being a wrestling fan3B near Harrisburg opened today. I should've stopped an bought a quart.
My creamery is 3B and my gym is 5B.
They are fighting each other for my attention.
I think Caliendo is fully aware he could never match Mitch. I think he and coaches looked at film and thought one way to possibly catch lightening in a bottle was to get that side headlock ifrom top and with God's help somehow get Mitch on his back. It was his ace in the hole even if he knew the chances of it working were slim to none.Caliendo must have nightmares about Messenbrink.
I was in Johnstown with a friend who graduated there. Around 8:00 we went for a “snack” and bought coney dogs downtown if memory serves me correctly.Oh I know. I just wanted to throw a dig in about my hometown and what our leaders have done to this once great town. Lol
Yeah...Coney island been around for a very long time and once a staple of the community. Hasn't been the same since the owners sold out a few years ago. It actually a reflection of what has become of the entire town if ya ask me.I was in Johnstown with a friend who graduated there. Just spoke with Mikey. I admit to the man crush on a guy who tried to battle Mitchell on his terms. Never hid, and never backed away. Just had the misfortune of timing.Caliendo must have nightmares about Messenbrink.
Johnstown is not unique to this. The bottom line is nothing ever replaced the steel mills in Johnstown and it is economically depressed all these years later. This is common around PA in towns where steel mills and coal mines once thrived.Oh I know. I just wanted to throw a dig in about my hometown and what our leaders have done to this once great town. I am as big of a Penn State fan as anyone on this board, but if you don't see Ok. State as a legitimate contender in the years to come, you are kidding yourself. I believe they just put 4 freshman in the finals. They are going to keep getting better, as well. I agree that they had a dream tournament and still lost by 50, but they are pretty good and I think they are going to be very competitive with us for years to come.I just dont get all this they are coming stuff. They were pretty bad so of course they would improve. But some act like PSU is going to rest easy. PSU will get plenty of the top recruits. The fertile grounds where PSU sits is going to produce top talent.
Also, coaching on the mat is not the total job. There are going to be issues to deal with. That is something the PSU coaches have done pretty well.
