Hate that Dee lost but I hate it even more that some of our d**ckhead fans feel the need to dog him whenever possible. He is a kid, a True Freshman. Yes he has disappointed at times this year but if most of you have been dogged at that age like you are dogging him you would have crawled into a hole and still wouldn’t be out of it. Get over yourselves.

Dee's plenty coachable. He needs to decide if he wants to live the wrestling life during season and be great or have fun and be above average.
I’m not a fan of how Dee wrestles but yall need to calm down. Dude can still come back and take 3rd. His tournament isn’t over. If this doesn’t wake him up on his style of wrestling nothing will. Wait till his tournament conclusion before yall crown him the biggest bust of all time.
There were a few good reasons to do this. 1) Build Lockett's conditioning up 2) it was the most unwinnable weight with Messinbrink 3) Facundo available 4) Facundo, Ryder, and Thompson didn't have redshirts available 5) no chance at a team title
This is all just speculation, woulda/coulda/shoulda. Not being overly critical.
We have yet to see if he has actually crawled into a hole yet… give it time. The way he looked the mat was not looking like he was going to come out of the hole.

Great win by Spratley getting a 7 point move on a jonesy, great effort to turn that match around. Jax great with takedowns and the ball and chain. Sergio unimpressive but then takedown ,cradle and pin. Casey got a major with 3 takedowns and good ride. Robideau wrestled solid with a couple of takedowns. Dee needs to get in better shape and be more aggressive. I will say he put tremendous strength and effort in sucking up his opponent, lifting him, knocking him off balance but got too high and thrown over for the pin. Dee quit then and got pinned. He should still All American but he needs to put that energy into more attacks. He was never going to get into the finals with Mesenbrink in his bracket. It was very disappointing though. Facundo gets beat and I don't see Facundo getting to All American. We need to recruit a 174, I have mentioned Carini from California but he is committed to Virginia Tech I believe.

I will say that Dee and Facundo have not developed as the year has gone on. Casey has really improved, so has Sergio( we will get a measure of Sergio's improvement when he wrestles Iowa in the quarters). I don't know if Landon has improved as the season has progressed but we will know a lot more in the next couple of rounds, Cody has improved and hope that he shows that improvement in the next few rounds.

Dee won against araujo 4-1 in overtime up at Nebraska. Was a typical Dee performance although I can’t remember if he was battling by illness that week or if that was a different dual.
He should be wrestling 165, which many people have said ALL year long. Dee’s effort is not what Taylor preaches at all. Should’ve redshirted Dee. He’s lack of effort is what is allowing other teams to scout against him.
Need to see how Dee does on wrestlebacks. Always thought Mantanona was tough for Facundo, I dont see it as upset. Mantanona was better and had a good strategy. Dee, was disappointing. For me and I'm sure 1000% for him.
I believe so. Possibly twice if im reading the bracket right.
He has a pretty viable path back to AA, He'll likely have Augustine next, then Fine, then very likely Gaitan in the blood round who he is 2-0 against.
Zach looks so small compared to this Wyoming kid.
Should call DT and talk to him. You’ve spoken for him a lot.
I will say this about Lockett or maybe Taylor. I am surprised OSU puts a wrestler on the matt with questionable conditioning.
I'll take whatever team points Zach can give us with that shoulder. I wouldn't be surprised if he has surgery on it in the off-season.
Are you watching these matches? Facundo and Ryder were both smaller than their last opponents and they couldn’t finish a takedown.
One thing is very clear…Cowboy fans drink heavily on Friday nights.
There was a notable height difference between Zach and the kid from Wyoming.
We have lost 3 in a row, momentum is gone and it feels like the big 12 finals except we started at 125 tonight. Lets hope Cody can turn this around.
