Zach couldn’t be heavy in the head bc of wrestling with 1 arm. Pure guts from him.
Guts for sure and you could be right that his shoulder is worse (wrestling is bad for bad shoulders) and he could not do what he had done in some of his previous matches.

If you’d told me a month ago that OSU had 4 freshman finalists and none of them were Dee, I would’ve asked how he got injured. What a tournament for this young group, and the lineup is only going to get better!
Dee has all the talent in the world, he just needs to decide if he wants to “be about it”.

Just so proud of these kids.

I know a lot of people here are down on Dee's wrestling here and rightly so as he was ranked 2nd for a lot of the year and I'm sure few, if any thought he would be our first wrestler out. That being said, his loss to the #13 seed (8 lower than his 5) was not as bad as Alex's loss to the #18 seed (10 lower than his 8). As someone said above; #2 & #3 overall high school recruits bite the big one. Ugh, indeed.
It’s not that he lost, it’s how he lost. That last match was an awful effort.

Finalist: PSU - 6, OKST - 4, NEB & OHST -2, IOWA, ISU, MINN, NCST, PRIN & STAN - 1

PSU wrestles three 3's, one 7th and two 10's
We wrestle two 1's and two 2's
OHST wrestles a 1 and a 2
NEB wrestles a 1 and a 7
Penn State even lucks out with their opponents in the finals! That's crazy. None of their finalists will face a #2 seed.

Also doesn't Nebraska face our #5 seed?

Some of you need to go back and read your idiotic posts on Thursday and maybe learn something. You look even more like idiots.

Y’all proved the old adage of, it is better to keep your mouth shut and thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Woke up happy as all get out! The best Friday I can remember in such a long time.

It’s crazy to look at it and realize how good we still have to be to take down Penn St. Can’t wait for all the young guns coming in next season….well I can wait a day. Going to savor this Saturday. The way our boys wrestle I’m believing for 4 champions. They haven’t given my a reason to not believe.

Also I asked about going after a transfer 197 and many of you had real faith in Cody becoming that guy. After that close loss to Elam at home he turned it on man. How could I have ever wanted to move on from C-O-D-Y M-E-R-R-I-L-L.

The Penn state tears are flowing hard on social media. Duke had plenty of time to get the win after the stoppage but got reversed. Rob's still had an arm on dukes hip and that was clearly not a takedown. Good brick by DT

No, I was right about my posts and they were directed at one wrestler, Lockett. Everyone else i am very proud of and I also hope that Lockett can have a mental shift this off-season.

If what someone posted earlier is true that he likes to party too much then that reverts back to problems that we had towards the end if Smith's era.

Greatness from adversity. Dee has an opportunity to learn from his mistakes and buy in. This is likely the toughest spot he’s been in during his athletic career and his life.

I know a lot of us would love for him to use this as a reset to refocus and come back as a champion.

It’s in the cards for him. He’s got the talent, coaches, and the training partners.
Everyone loves a good comeback story. Go make it happen Dee.

That early season loss to Valencia is looking really good right now.

Agreed. Everyone was right. Don't listen to nanny nanny boo boo scold/shame posts like that. It's a fan message board meant for opinions. Discussion.
