My brother is kind of ticked off. He decided months ago to go to Clearwater for the 1st time, and take in spring training. So he picked this week, and locked in his flight and lodging. Long after making his arrangements, he learned that a huge number of Fightins would be participating in the World Baseball Classic.
Yeah, we did that a few years ago but we still had a great time at the ballpark in Clearwater along with enjoying the area.
There would have to be changes in the CBA around contract guarantees for that to happen. Teams would need the ability to cut players to reshape their rosters under those cap constraints.
