I don’t recall seeing it posted that Harper and Boras are pushing for an amended deal.

It’s being touted as an extension, but will no doubt significantly up his annual average. But this is what he traded off to get a 13 year “lifetime” contract.

And based on his playing trajectory, the final 4-5 years of this deal won’t be pretty. Just like Casty and Walker, but for longer.

It’s now clear that Dombrowski’s “no longer elite” comments were directed at Boras. And Dave raises a good point.

Interesting lineup. The explanation for it is that the Diamondbacks don't have a left handed reliever, and their only starting left hander pitched yesterday (or day before). Apparently Topper stated that this will be the lineup for the weekend.

Any one who pays to see the Phillies when Walker pitches needs to be refunded their money. Why do they keep running him out there, he out and out blows. Let a young pitcher come up.

McCarthy while helping his granddaughter stand up: “Quinny’s a bit unsteady on her feet today.”

Kruk: “That’s alright Quinny, we’ve all been there before.”

Painter out today with a migraine. A horrible state for the Phillies: 124 innings played and scored in only 26 innings!! Using flyswatters for bats.

Well Painter must have gotten some good
Meds because he is in the third and set the DBacks down 1,2,3.

I asked “in what percentage of innings does a typical MLB team score a run?” Answer: approximately 30%. 26 of 124 is 26% ballpark.

Just some god-awful unfocused baseball. Garcia swinging on 2-0 count with marsh stealing….

NO ONE is seeing the ball well right now

Also back in the 6th when they had 1st and 3rd, nobody out, just inexcusable not to get that run home.
In the 8th why is Harper running? you can not get throwing out at home there, Bad baseball. Why is he trying to stretch a single into a double in the 3rd as well. Someone needs to call him out. Marsh cost them a run flopping around in the outfield in 1 or 2nd then boneheaded running the bases in the 8th I guess that is what you get when they hardly play any spring training games trying to keep them fresh for the season. God forbid if a reliever pitches 3 day in a row should have been Keller and Duran in the 8 and 9.
