It looks like a raw night for baseball, but I really enjoy Kruk as a color commentator.

If they continue to play like this, Topper will not last all season. He might not make it to the All-Star break at this rate.

Should have been let go at the end of last year.
To be fair, he is working with what he was given. The lineup and bullpen are broken and Dombrowski did nothing to fix it in the offseason.

Got our hopes up in 2022 and continually let us down since. Life of a Philly sports fan. *sigh* - feels like something definitely wrong in the clubhouse and they seem to be playing uninspired baseball. There is still a lot of games left so hopefully they can turn this turd of a season start around before it is too late.

They'll probably recover enough to compete for a wild card, but that team clearly is beginning to age out and the window is closing on a lot of their key players.

Agreed. A bunch of those NL Central teams will fade with time. Pirates and Cardinals aren’t making the playoffs, although I am happy for my handful of Pirates friends out there.

Let’s just start with ending this losing streak please. 🙏

If the Pirates pitching stays healthy, they'll be in it to the end this season because their hitting has improved greatly; there are very few teams that have the starting rotation that the Pirates have.

Had the Phillies kept Ranger Suarez they would have had a rotation to compete with anybody else. Instead we have TJ Walker 🙄🙄🙄

That pretty bad because those aging player's are signed for another 5 to 6 years. (Harper, Turner, Nola)

Those contracts aren’t going to age well, but at least they played on a lot of very good teams. Unless they can offload some of those contracts in the next year or two, which won’t be easy, they’re going to be constrained with what they can do, which means they’re probably looking at a few lean years.
