2 outs in the top of the 9th, and 8 straight Fightins get a hit, as they take a 13-8 lead.
Then Crawford works a walk. Then Turner, who 1st the first of the aforementioned to get a hit (with 2 outs), gets a single, making it 10 batters in a row that reach base (and Turner drives in a run, to make it 14-8). Then Marsh, who tied it up, strikes out, to end the at bat for the Fightins.

Well that was a wild ninth inning! 8 runs with two outs! Wowee
I tuned in at the start of the 7th. Wow, what a game! Has to be mentally crushing to lose that one for the Nats.
Strangely enough, he's the winning pitcher. That's the way the game goes. Certainly not a win he'll be bragging about. OTOH, it balances out those hard luck losses.
2 outs, top of the 9th, down 1 on the scoreboard, and the Fightins get a 2-run pinch-hit homer, by Derek Hill.

I say we forfeit the first 26 outs and expedite the game straight to the 9th with 2 outs.
What a fun 24 hours to be a Phils fan
Truth is, the Phils are in the heads of the Nats. I think the Nats are always waiting for that other shoe to drop when they play Philly.
The Braves are losing a little steam as the Phils are heating up. NL East lead is down to 5 and the Phils now lead the WC Race.
McCarthy isn't a bad announcer (he does TV and is the announcer in the Phillies tweet of the Hill HR that I linked above). But I'll always take a Franzke call, (he does the radio PBP) over a McCarthy call on a key event in a game.
Yep...Braves have some injuries and their lack of debt is being exposed.
