2026 Schedule Dates

Saturday Egg Bowl. Where it should be.
It didn’t get moved until May this year so that may still be up in the air.
All things equal, I probably prefer Saturday, but don’t really care one way or another. However, all things aren’t equal. If we can get a guaranteed slot on ABC on Friday, I say take it over 11am/3pm SECN slot on Saturday
3 of those on consecutive weekends. That can negatively impact attendance, especially for out-of-towners that have to spend nights in a hotel. Otherwise, brutal schedule.
That run from Alabama to Texas is gonna be painful. Then salt the wound with a Vandy team that somehow is no longer a cupcake.
With 9 SEC games and 1 Power 4 OOC, I think it’s always going to look like a “brutal schedule” when it’s released. With the way rosters are turning over now, we have no idea if it’s brutal or not yet.
Unless Pavia gets a 14th year of eligibility I have a feeling they will take a step back. Still not the Vandy of old by any means.
