Has Cael said anything definitive about “Starters” NOT going to the Scuffle. If our backups are going, …. I still have to consider going. It’s only a 3 hour drive for me.
AW hell . . . .I suppose it‘s the best use of my time to spend the first weekend of the New Year doing what I enjoy most. Our backups are the foundation of our dynasty . . . so I’ll head down to Chattanooga to see how they do against the studs from Oklahoma State and others. It’s a great little town with lots to do (Sandhill crane migration, Ruby Falls, Rock City, and good bars).

Any word on who the good guys are sending you the southern scuffle?
I’m going to go out on a limb here, and predict that the good guys are going to send some good guys. While they may not be our best guys, they will be better than most.

In fact, I predict William Henkel, Joe Sealey, Asher Cunningham, Nate Desmond, Connor Pearce, and Lucas Cochran will acquit themselves quite well. I think we’ll have at least a couple of finalists, and a champ.

Have a safe and blessed New Year, and be grateful for a wrestling team for the ages. Enjoy!

Add Connor Mirasola to that list at 197. I may be talking myself into going.

This is the full list a lot of kids to root for.
Decent setup for Nagao. 2 returning AAs (Composto and Jack). Barr has a pretty easy path to the finals, where he'll get Little.

Henckel can win this. 174 is really weak, only 2 ranked guys in the field (19 and 22 by Intermat).

Arelius Dunbar is also at 165, for Duke.

OKST not sending any big names, unless Figs is still a big name. Jax Forrest not registered either, in case anybody still wondering about that.

Am I crazy for think Cochran is going to win this?
Going to win this, as in certainty? That's quite dismissive of Mullen, cadet world silver and NQ, and Colbert who beat Mullen at NCAAs. Also shouldn't ignore Morgan, very offensive-minded HWT, was excellent his last 2 yrs in PA (2nd to Austin Johnson as a 189 wrestling 215, then undefeated 285 champ).

Could win this with a good tourney? Sure.
