Cats at home against Colorado tonight. Game time 7 PM at Ryan Fieldhouse.

How in the world did this team lose to Colorado? They looked absolutely unstoppable tonight against a previously undefeated Marquette team.

Colorado has a very tight "pack it in" zone defense that gave the 'Cats trouble. Thus far no one else has been able to figure that defense out yet, either... The Buffs have allowed only 5 goals in each of the two other games they played!

The 'Cats should have won. The won the draw by a stunning 17-4, and then completely cancelled that out by turning the ball over about 20 times. At least 10 of those were completely unforced errors, over/underthrown passes that rolled out of bounds —ugh!

First quarter of the Marquette game was similar, then the ship righted itself in Q2. First time in program history with back-to-back 25 goals.

Early in the season sometimes weird stuff happens, especially when you have a lot of new people in new roles... Hopefully the Colorado loss ends up just being a weird "Miami of Ohio" anomaly.
