Colorado has a very tight "pack it in" zone defense that gave the 'Cats trouble. Thus far no one else has been able to figure that defense out yet, either... The Buffs have allowed only 5 goals in each of the two other games they played!

The 'Cats should have won. The won the draw by a stunning 17-4, and then completely cancelled that out by turning the ball over about 20 times. At least 10 of those were completely unforced errors, over/underthrown passes that rolled out of bounds —ugh!

First quarter of the Marquette game was similar, then the ship righted itself in Q2. First time in program history with back-to-back 25 goals.

Early in the season sometimes weird stuff happens, especially when you have a lot of new people in new roles... Hopefully the Colorado loss ends up just being a weird "Miami of Ohio" anomaly.

When you look at the last couple years recruiting classes out of high school we have not fared well compared to the main East Coast teams that we face in the end of season playoffs. We seem to rely on transfers and maybe assimilating them is not working out that well this year.

Three losses already this is not progressing very well. Might not win the Big Ten for the first time in quite a while.

We are missing great defenders and midfielders like Sammy White. Gonna be a long year I believe.

And people on the basketball board were so upset about Martinelli’s final year being disappointing - well, it unfortunately happens elsewhere - poor Madison Taylor!

Saturday's game against USC is scheduled to be played outdoors, but the forecast is cool rainy. Any chance this gets moved indoors?
