Unofficial and Official Visit announcements are popping up all over.
I don't think we are looking at a multi year rebuild unless we underperform next season and go 7-5 or 8-4 then stagnate at that level. If we go 10-2 for example that will give us a boost but probably too late to have an impact on the '27 class.I get what you are saying and I don’t disagree. However, if the 2027 recruiting class is a punt year also, then this could be a multiyear rebuild and it may be a rough ride in the meantime. I think we made several steps forward in coaching and took several steps back in recruiting and roster talent. They are going to have to be more aligned to have the success we all want to see.
Understandably, I think this community is suffering PTSD with respect to WR coaching and development. If the offense is anything like it was at ISU with Mouser and Campbell, I think Rocco will help to flip the script sooner rather than later, given how they lean on the long ball. With a good QB play PSU will be more appealing to recruits. But we will see. This coach has some heavy lifting to do with development and recruiting. All the best to him.
Yahoo Sports article indicates he is hearing alot from PSU but also VT & Missouri, and a little from UGA.QB Peter Bourque has decommitted from Michigan and says he'sbeen hearing from PSU alot recently.

He committed to Sherrone Moore. Is that what he’s looking for?Yahoo Sports article indicates he is hearing alot from PSU but also VT & Missouri, and a little from UGA.
I have no idea. He didn't indicate what he is now looking for.He committed to Sherrone Moore. Is that what he’s looking for?
At the moment it appears to be Penn State versus Georgia, but as we all know these things change instantly once dollars are being discussed. This is NOT to say that Bourque is solely motivated by money, as motivations vary, but it surely will play a part.Yahoo Sports article indicates he is hearing alot from PSU but also VT & Missouri, and a little from UGA.
That cinches it; he's a Dawg. The Bourque sweeps is probably going to end up going into the summer.
For what it's worth, Georgia has the #1 QB in the '28 class committed already and there are rumors he could reclassify to '27. Also sounds like academics mean a lot to Bourque & family. Just some things to factor in.

Georgia and Penn State are both less likely to engage in a bidding war over a high school recruit. As has been reported over and over, "Smart still wants Georgia to be competitive when it comes to NIL because if they weren't then no one would want to come to UGA. But he knows that the players who care the most about how much money they are making are not the players he wants at Georgia." It strikes me that Campbell is more like Smart than other coaches who like Cristobal are comfortable cutting a bigger and bigger check for a seasoned player to come in and contribute straight away. In the end, it is a math problem. Michigan pays Underwood 2.6 to 3m annually. So, they are already 6m in the hole with nothing to show for it. If in year three they have invested 9m how do they assess the return on investment in comparison to Miami who paid Beck anywhere between 3.1 to 4 m for one year and who took them to the CFP finals. Mensah is up next. Its not as if Miamit cannot recruit a QB. This is surely a philosophical difference that has been litigated ad nauseam, so no need to do it again. If Bourque is not focused on playing for the highest bidder then PSU and Georgia will remain players, if he is looking for generational money out of high schoool he will likely go elswhere. Full disclosure, I am not one to want to pay for a young players development but rather strictly for production. But I think Campbell disagrees. So, we will see.
Eh, not yet. February is a dead period - so the new staff only had a month to get juniors on campus so far. March/April will be heavy with unofficials/practice and May/June officials. Too early to be uncomfortable just yet. With that being said, I'd guess and say end up with top 15-20 class with a lot of guys in it. And more guys than we're used to with ratings between 500-1000. I think the new staff will pay for some bigger fish, but then lean on some evaluations of under the radar types at the bottom of the class. JMO.I realize it is really early in this recruiting cycle, but should we be concerned that we have no commitments yet in this class? I really don't know, so my question sincere.

It’s not really early in the 2027 cycle. Unfortunately, the new coaching staff, apparently, hasn’t had much time to make connections with 2027 recruits.I realize it is really early in this recruiting cycle, but should we be concerned that we have no commitments yet in this class? How does he feel about street racing? That cinches it; he's a Dawg.
Academics mean a lot but for $100,000 more in NIL he could rationalize the academics are better at whatever school he is choosing. In this day and age those statements hold no credibility with me.The Bourque sweeps is probably going to end up going into the summer.

I agree. Plus, even if he picks Penn St then Barry and a few others with stop by to tell us how poor Penn State academics are now and how dumb the current PSU students are.Academics mean a lot but for $100,000 more in NIL he could rationalize the academics are better at whatever school he is choosing. Maybe if more Penn Staters paid closer attention to what's going on at their school Barry would run out of things to say. In that vein, you can do your own research to compare the reputations of Penn State and UGa.I agree. This kid was just trying to drive to Athens for an official visit .

Interesting, committed to dUMb.
How did Franklin publicly disrespect Penn State. The firing of Franklin had to happen when it did. He publicly disrespected the university and the AD. I'll give you the search was amateurish and the Campbell hire bailed Kraft out. It remains to be seen how that plays out long term.
I think with our schedule our floor in the 26 season is at least 8-4 and 10-2 at best.
Have you seen his record against top competition? How did Franklin publicly disrespect Penn State.
That display against UCLA was pretty disrespectful. How did Franklin publicly disrespect Penn State.
