24: pretty disappinted with the ending.

They could have done so much more with the SERIES FINALE. I know they want to make the movie (to make money). But I almost wish the movie had been a hoax...a dead Jack Bauer would have been so epic..silent clock and all. They took the easy way out and went all emotional with the Chloe looking at Jack on the screen.

Oh well, guess Jack'll be on the run in Europe for the movie.

Seriously though, I thought it sucked. After the last 6 or 7 episodes, I really thought they were leading up to a memorable ending, but it didn't happen. Maybe my feelings have something to do with hoping it'd be as good as the LOST finale, but I guess it's pretty hard to top what happened last night. I just thought it could have been a little more dramatic than it was.

It wasn't the best series finale ever, but I thought it was solid. They left it open for a movie, which is what they said they would do all along. I never saw them lying about that because the director has been saying they wouldn't off Jack for years now.<div>
</div><div>This sets up perfectly for a movie series, because there was closure on things here in the states and they can pick up a movie to where people who did not necessarily watch the TV show can pick up on it easily.</div>

series finale. I guess it's cool they left the door open for the movie series but I was hoping it'd go a little different tonight. Hell, Jack wasn't even really involved in the last episode since Chloe shot him at the very beginning. I wanted Jack to really go off the deep end and shoot the Russian president or Logan or maybe even President Taylor. It just wasn't what I was expecting to be - which again, may have a little to do with how awesome LOST finished up last night. I was hoping 24 would match that.

The first hour was slow, but it picked up in the second. It was a different situation from the Lost finale because they didn't have as much to work with. Lost was about cramming things in and rushing at the end, but 24 did so much in the last six or seven episodes that they almost had to stretch to make two hours. The ending with Chloe was appropriate.<div>
</div><div>My main complaint about this season is that they made Renee such a big part of it. I hate that Jack did much of this for her sorry *** character.</div>

-where did the drones come from? I'd like a little more insight into how they came to be and how CTU came back online
-what was the history of CTU prior to season 1?
-what the +%** where was Audrey? I thought she was supposed to be in the finale.

Drones came from CTU

CTU was created during/after season 1 in this post 9/11 world.

for some reason, I think Logan will be back around for the movie. Remember him telling Prez Taylor that Jack wouldn't let it die until he was eliminated?
