Hope the kid is ready for the B1G grind , this isn’t the Scared Excitable Conference.

Interesting. He was downgraded after 1 year at TN to an 84. Out of HS he was projected as P4 starter, but needed to get "stronger". This staff trusts their evaluations so they must be seeing something in the kid

First thing that I thought also.
I 110% want Campbell back, but there is talk out there that CMC prefers height on his defense and Amare lacks height. As such perhaps CMC and Hoodjer are unwilling to increase their offer and get in a bidding war for him. The lb Rojas is contacting on X is prototypical height.

Matt Suhey was PA heavyweight state champ. I saw him wrestle in the IM finals and lose to Eric Cunningham, a starting OG and former Ohio state champ. My RA wrestled in those finals and win against the guy that beat him for the PA state title. I handily won in the first round in IM’s as I went against a novice and I was an okay varsity wrestler in HS. Second round I lost pretty bad to the eventual IM champ. That year with 7 weight classes the finals pitted 12 former PA or OH state champs and 2 runner ups. The IM wrestling at that time had unbelievable talent.
Nope. Larry and Paul were state champs.

Didn’t Matt lose to someone who played DT at LSU? Regardless, he was good. I am sure understanding leverage helped when blocking for Payton.

Carlton Haselrig may have been the most remarkable. Between small school and NCAA, he won about 6 titles while not playing football. Even Gable Steveson failed in the transition to football.

Yes.George Atiyeh from Allentown. Can't remember which school. He went to LSU as an OLman.

Amare is a good but not great LB. Also, he is undersized for a B1G conference LB.

I hope Amare’s agent is not overplaying their hand. Amare is replaceable if it comes to that.

Not unexpected. He initially committed to Michigan and flipped to PSU very late allegedly based on $. He couldn't break through the TE room for PT. Does he seek a UM offer?
I’m aware. However, he was stuck behind some good TEs. He would have played soon. I guess he couldn’t get past his own impatience.

He was really good for PSU this year. I don’t care what size he is. He would be a big loss.

Apparently the B1G coaches and B1G media disagrees with your assessment of Amare as a LB.

Amare did not make the first, second, or third All B1G teams.

He would not be a big loss. There are tons of quality LBs in the portal if it comes to that.

There are so many LBs yet we always have holes.

Ps. What did the media think of joe?

All this talk of LB Campbell made me realize we haven’t heard from young Lavar Arrington regarding his plans to stay or go.

I would assume at this point, those we have not heard from are evaluating their new NIL offers and wondering “Should I stay or should I go now”.

I don’t know much about this offense we’re going to be running, but it seems like the TEs are going to be expected to block. Not sure if that is his game or not.
