That would be very disappointing because I think there is enough talent currently to be very competitive early in the Campbell era.
I think there are 3 main types of portal kids. The ones who are worried about the direction of their programs, the ones who want a chance to start and the one who want more money. We are probably relatively safe keeping the first two types and also the third if the staff values them as much as they do themselves. If we lose kid who thinks they’re worth more than the coaches do, I don’t really care. If they’re not on board with the new staff, I don’t want them around even more.
Yea played with my friends kid there. Families stayed close. Smart kid. Soon to be rich kid, haha.
If Grunk and Martin among others enter the portal, Im not sure what to think. You could build around what was out there today. I hope Campbell isn't one of those "I want my guys" types.
I think with Terry staying that most of those who started today will stay. Campbell should meet with every kid tomorrow and lay it out what he thinks. My guess is watching today’s game he realizes Martin is RB1

- Maybe as many as 3 WRs
- Anthony Speca (LBer)

- Kaleb Artis (DT - if he has any eligibility)
- Liam Andrews (DT)
- DeAndre Cook (DT)

Not necessarily disagreeing with you.
But he usually steals premium info from these sites and reports as his own. So his info could be true…
Theyre going to need to for some players. WR for sure. No idea why any of the younger guys just cant seem to get playing time. Something seems significantly wrong with that group. Might need to grab 2 or 3 of the best in the portal. We need more than depth there.
Most other positions depends on if any guys portal who had significant playing time today. Im hoping the staff can get them to buy in and stay. Grab some significant upgrades if available. Fill in depth.
Campbell has a big budget. Go spend it.

Looks like they lost their whole RB room. What a disaster this is for the game; or at least for the many teams like North Texas. I wonder if there is going to be enough money to satisfy what all these players and their agents think they're worth? Just mass exodus everywhere, most who can be assumed portalling for the money.

Its par for the course for lower tier schools; they are raided every year for any talent that surfaces.
Yes. And after their excellent season, the players are looking for that pay day. Plus their coach left. Unfortunate for North Texas, and other schools getting raided, but that is the way things are now.
No idea how to go about it, but I would like to see these teams have some protection from having their roster decimated like this.
