It doesn't. Furthermore,. during the hiring process fans were squawking about only hiring a coach that could bring players with him, now they are bitching that he is bringing players with him. Where would a coach from ISU bring players with him? Ohio State? Fandom is an intriguing pathology

Hopefully Smolik goes to a MAC/CUSA school with a chance to play and work his way back to the P4 level
TT will pay him whatever it takes after their crappy QB play they experienced in their playoff game.
Their game in the CFP didn't surprise me. In an earlier game when their 2 top WRs were out, their offense looked lost.
It reminds me of UCLA basketball under John Wooden...he made sure to recruit the top 2 centers to prevent the competition from signing the second best.
Possibly. My bigger point is that if your two scheduled visits are to TT and to LSU, then $$$ are going to be a serious (possibly the main) consideration.
It will be interesting to see how Indiana handles this success, especially if they win at all. Getting guys who are Primadonna’s may upset the Apple Cart a little bit.

it will be interesting. Cignetti does not seem like a guy that tolerates too much. And yet, he knows the landscape and wants to continue winning. At a program like IU where there isn't a long tradition of winning, the support structure isn't in place.
I will note that after their QF win yesterday over 'Bama, there was a report from On3's @SteveWiltfong where he interviewed several of the blue-chip prospects that Indy is now involved with, and they all had very positive things to say about the win/about IU. Cignetti does seem to being trying to make this year's success an ongoing thing.
And yet some of you will still get super bent out of shape about losses when the sport has become beyond absurd.
The same amount as the Pittsburgh Pirates.......And we’re spending a paltry $30 MM.
Some seem to act as though all the Iowa St. guys in the portal will have PSU high on the list. PSU doesn't have a lot of needs at CB. And not all of the Iowa St. guys are lining up visits to PSU.
