Meh, it’s little league.I know this might strike a nerve with volunteer umpires. I watched some inconsistent ball / strike calls that really cost team's games.
I'd like to see them use an AI calling system for only balls & strikes. You're still going to need an umpire behind the plate. It would take the pressure off a guy that's not use to making calls in front of 10,000+ people. Just my 2 cents
It is what it is. LL is very smart. Smart enough that we may see 2 first bases in MLB in a few years. No one ever claimed this format is perfectly equitable, but find me a better one w/ the current # of teams, and the restrictions of scheduling USA vs. World, not to mention espn.I don't like the "modified" double elimination format at all
You could possibly work on pitching with more kids than you did previously. idkThe best team won, but my question is the Chinese coach wanted to win to make up for the loss in 2015. He said he realized you had to have more pitching, so he got that….how do you “get more pitching” when Little League is supposed to be based on where you live? The big cheating that’s going on these days with Little League is not the age, it’s the boundaries. I saw a lot of that back when I coached.

You can work on it all you want, but you’re not going to get a 70 pound kid throwing 80 mph.You could possibly work on pitching with more kids than you did previously. idk![]()
Yes, fudging a kid’s age used to be the way to cheat, now it’s fudging the lines of residence.Danny Almonte says hold my beer!
