What's that definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results????
Mason’s got this.

I will then switch allegiance from a life long Steeler fan to the Eagles. I’m already 3/4 of the way there because of Barkley but that would seal it.Hearing Aaron Rodgers to Pittsburgh.![]()
Man, that 2019 LSU team was loaded.
SMH. Virtually a fully-guaranteed contract and a 20% jump over the top contract signed last week.
These owners bring it on themselves.
Top dollar is ok if a CB is a real top player. But going 20% over the next highest AAV signed just last week is what gets me. Go from $25M to $26M a year and try to guarantee only 85% or so.For sure.
The contract is great for Stingley, his family, and for his agents.
I'm not sure if it's great for the Texans. And I'm pretty certain that it will cause problems for others teams in the league, as elite CBs start trying to get the same amount of $$. There's only so many ways you can manipulate the cap, and paying that kind of money to your top CBs will blow a hole in most teams' budgets. Howie may be ahead of the curve, in that he pays key players good money (not always top dollars), and then supports them with players on rookie contracts or on low-budget FA contracts.
Both pre- and post- NFL!The amount of money being paid out is off the charts![]()
He was an All-Pro and is much better than Jaycee Horn. That contract doesn't have anything to do with him. The Texans were bidding against themselves here and they lost. And I’m not sure that the difference between Stingley and the next 2-3 CBs is worth the premium paid.
I wonder what kind of draft pick comp they could have gotten for him? Stroud is coming at well north of $60M a year. Maybe the Tunsil savings helped here…
