@LionJim -- I'm happy to see your team returning to D.C.

I am too.
I am too. I got a lot of history with RFK Stadium. My uncles all had Redskins season tickets and occasionally they’d invite me. Also during my post-PSU college days I would go with my buddies and a joint to watch the Washington Diplomats play soccer. We’d go up to the empty upper deck and get our freak on. Good times.

Also would catch Senators games in the summer while visiting my family. Ted Williams was the manager at that time and my dad and his brothers would be agog, lol. RFK was a great baseball stadium, great sight lines, every seat pointed towards second base.

A third round pick after the draft? So as far as the upcoming season is concerned the Steelers are giving him away for nothing.
This trade suggests a couple of things. First, his presumed value (2nd rounder prior to draft) was a tad overstated. Second, while getting nothing in return for this year, they are avoiding another round of headaches and discontent when Rogers comes in and assumes the role of "check down Charlie".

It appears that the Steelers are ridding themselves of a major headache (brace yourselves Dallas) and stockpiling draft picks for a roster rebuild. If Rodgers comes and they are competitive in 2025, great. If not, they muddle through with Rudolph and get a much better chance at a top rated QB in next years draft. Something they should have done a few years ago.

Pittsburgh isn’t going to be competitive. Not now. Rodgers isn’t going to Pittsburgh. Getting rid of Pickens was proof of this after the fact.

ESPN jabbering heads said that Tomlin is the kind of coach who can keep head cases like Pickens and Antonio Brown in check, relatively speaking. They implied that without Tomlin keeping him in check Pickens could be a major headache for Dallas. Tracks for me.

I wonder how bad Pittsburgh will be next year. Arch Manning bad? We shall see.

Full disclosure. I can’t stand Rodgers and I’d be fine if he didn’t come and they tanked. However, with the Steelers now trading for Lazard, I wouldn’t rule out Rodgers in Pittsburgh just yet. That move has Rodgers fingerprints all over it.

I’d be so depressed if my team was throwing in the towel….in may

I guess the part of the sentence that says, “is now the longest tenured” escaped you.
Idk. The quote is
DaQuan is now the longest- tenured Penn State Nittany Lion alumnus to play in the NFL out of 393 former Penn
State
It doesn’t say currently
There are not 393 PSUers in the NFL currently
So to say he’s the longest tenured player without saying currently playing I think at best is ambiguous

I have to agree. Mentioning the 393 Penn State players who have ever played in the NFL is lumping them all together.

“IS NOW”!!! WTF??!!! You guys are turning into Karen’s. Give a piece of info and then get stupid criticisms when you don’t even process what the quote is indicating. It’s from a Johnson City School District post where Daquan went to school.
