Penn State Class of 2026 signee Jadyn James knocked out a pair of older wrestlers to reach the 74 kilogram U20 finals, but his run ends there. Oklahoma State's Ladarion Lockett sweeps the best-of-three series to claim the Team USA spot in that weight class. James will compete at U17 worlds later this year.

News it not so good for Jayden James, as he falls in the 2nd match at 74 Kg., 15-2, TF @ 4:34, to Ladarion Lockett. He finishes 2nd.

FWIW, Lockett was a huge challenge for James, who is just finishing his junior year in HS

I believe that wraps things up at U20 for PSU wrestlers.

I have barely checked on U23, but I know they still have a lot of matches in the tournament for U23 -- just don't know where the PSU guys are in the mix.

yeah, somewhat of an outlier in the best-of-three.

Luke Stanich (Lehigh Valley Wrestling Club) won Match 1, 3-2, DEC

Bo Bassett won Match 2, 3-2, DEC

Stanich wins Match 3, 10-0, TF @ 5:15 over Bo Bassett to make the USA U20 team at 65 Kg.
BB was bringing it and LS would counter and score......at least from my untrained eye.

Spire is amazing. Full sized football field with track. I know there is a large pool there along with other facilities. I knew it was big, but it is insane.

Right after Cole wrestled, a lady sitting near me said there was an app which allowed you to track specific wrestlers, get updates on mat assignments and when they might wrestle. Of course...........

For anyone considering going in the future. Obviously NE Ohio is a hike from civilization. Geneva is the eastern end of the Grand River Valley which is home to many wineries of all stripes. Lots of locations where you buy a bottle and sit and listen to some local band. Many have food options. There are some worthwhile wines in the region. Lots of glacial soil deposited ages ago. The Grand River acts as a cold air sink, drawing the oldest air out of the fields. Much better than the PA wine area north of Erie and Western NY.

"Honey, you take the car and have a good time". Mrs. SRATH is always willing to tag along.

When I finally got gas, I ran into a couple from Wisconsin who was driving home, tonight, facing the setting sun. I've done that sort of drive, but not departing at 7 pm.
