The rematch that Tarboro has been waiting for! Both teams comes in with opposite records but let’s not let that fool anyone. Havelock is still a pretty decent team with a good defensive line! Tarboro came in ready to play Thursday & cleaned up a lot of the sloppy play that we saw last week. I expect this to be another hard fought game Friday night also! #RudeBoyyz

Will have to play perfect. I'm more optimistic than last year but Tarboro will still have to play mistake free football in order to win. I'm excited to see the stadium at Havelock it looks really nice.
Would be nice to finish up the 5A portion of the schedule 3-0.
Maybe they do have a good d line, but that o line isn't getting them any points so far. And we will know that you have to give the refs' arms a workout in order to best Tarboro. The Vikings haven't looked like the blowout Vikings so far, but I still think you'll have to visit the end zone at least 4 times in order to beat them. My West Craven friend showed me their game vs Havelock, and their offense was tough to watch.

Don't expect to see many blowouts in favor of tarboro this year with the schedule that they're playing. Which isn't a bad thing all it's going to do is help this team come play off time. In my humble opinion, I don't see anybody in the 2A East this year anywhere close to the teams that Tarboro has played so far or will play. I'm still gun-shy about this game lol. The Vikings are going to have to play almost perfect to pull this out at their place. I thought the Vikings played pretty good against Hunt last week, but they are going to have to play even better against the rams. They are going to key in on Kam im sure, so we are going to need everyone to step it up.
I just feel the talent has to be there. Knowing that, I hope it doesn’t click against us.
I still think they'll win their conference. If they lose their conference then they are indeed very down. Havelock graduated a very elite senior class from last year. Can't help but take a step back. I've heard that the freshman and sophomore classes they have will be very good once on varsity
It’s got to be a talent issue on the offensive side. I can’t imagine Wooten running the style offense they’re running this year unless he had no other options. They looked like a college offense last year. Defensive line still looks very good.

Have you seen the conference? Yeesh. They still have some dudes, but I guess you’ll just have to see the offense and I think you’ll see what I’m talking about.
they still have a solid defense though. I think that's gonna be what carries them this year. Conference wise the biggest challenge I could MAYBE see is West Carteret.

They’ve got some guys on D, especially up front. Best guy on O is the punter.

The defensive front is my biggest concern. Tarboro hasn’t shown the kind of passing attack that New Bern has. On the ground, though, we’ve rushed for over 400 yards in two games against solid defenses. I think Havelock’s D-line will be the toughest we’ll face all year
Agreed! Both defenses have been solid, but agree this one will be the best we’ve seen
I can't see neither team scoring over 30. Like a previous poster stated though, I do believe this will be the best defense Tarboro sees this year.
Has Havelock ever started a season 0-3?? I think Tarboro has the offense to beat them. But I’m sure Coach Wooten and Coach King will be working like hell to turn this around!! TCU just scored again!!

If im Not mistaking last time havelock went 0-3 to start they went to state championship…. This definitely ain’t that team though. Havelock has one of the best DTs in the state and two really good safeties outside of that there isn’t much I’ve seen there especially on offense.
My memory just isn’t that good. Havelocks offense is struggling as bad as I can remember seeing it in a long time. But I know that staff well enough to know you got to expect them to break out. I’m glad we are not playing them this week.

Yea that’s not happening. I do think they need to consider trying another qb but that is not a quick fix.
How did Wilson Prep score their points on West Craven? I’m really shocked that Yall were able to shutout Havelock and Wilson Prep was able to score.
I saw him play against Tarboro last year. You’re right he’s a very good player. Just figured havelock has more talent and weapons across the board. I watched West Craven and Havelock game on YouTube and West Cravens defense looks very good.
Havelock went from having 4500 yard QB and 1800 yard WR to running the triple option under center. I was kinda shocked they didn’t have a dude when I saw them, but on the offensive side they just didn’t have any player capable of explosive plays.
I’m still expecting this to be a dog fight, and think they have players who could potentially step up
