Charlie Lea, Matt's Dad, pitched for several years in the Big Leagues successfully. He knows what he's doing, and I'm sure his opinion carries a lot of weight.

And I'll be honest, I'm a huge State fan, and I even like Ron Polk, but if I had a son that was a pitcher, I would have had major reservations about sending him to MSU because of McNickle. I probably would have encouraged him to go to LSU or somewhere like that.

take 3-4 classes before Cohen gets in the kinda talent he wants to fit his type of game...But since you're asking, the kid that is transferring in from Texas is very good from all accounts....Plus, I do know that he has signed some quality pitchers, which is what are in need of the most.....Again, the talent will come in due time...BTW, Jackass, do you ever post at all on the Ole Miss board or are you the kind of douche bag that likes to hang out on a rival boards and spew ****.....I think I know the answer to that.... Reportedly at least 2 or 3 of the pitchers we've signed will contribute and elevate our pitching next year. As you've seen, that's the big hole in our game this year. If we improve significantly there, maybe we are a contender next year.

I've seen it all year long just like y'all have. For as much as y'all complained about the results (and they've been awful), just a little pitching puts you right in the middle of things.
