Nicholls State isn't that good. They are midget small and half the team is white. LSU must suck really bad. Second, I would run screens and double screens to make sure that Ravern shot 15 3's a game. The dude is unreal behind the arch. Don't know the stats, but we must be out rebounding them by 15 or so at the half.

I didn't see as many "Oh my gawd, what the 17 are they doing?" moments tonight. I'm not cursing at Bryant like I was a week or so ago. I'm hoping that the Dee Bost Invitational will pay off as these guys get a better feel each night as a team. I'd like to see Bailey and Lewis improve against a team with an inside presence, as Nicholls did not have anything down low.

they played better tonight and were smart to go to the zone most of the game if not all of it. Helped with fatigue factor and did a good job on Nicholls State's best player. Brian played good tonight and I will bet Twanny will n ot play much more this year because Bost will probably be at the two guard and spell him at the point. Good win. Nicholls beat LSU by nine and played Houston a tough game.

but Bryant did play better tonight. If Sidney and Bost step in and play like they are supposed to then we have developed some quality depth with Benock as a sub for the backcourt and serviceable post depth with Bailey and Lewis. By SEC play we will likely have a regular rotation of:

Sidney
Augustus
Johnson
Bost
Bryant
Benock subs in a the two and Bost slides to the point.
Bailey subs in for Sidney.
Beckham and Steele play the next most minutes in the backcourt depending on the situation.
Smith plays sparingly behind Johnson.
Lewis plays spot duty as needed.
