2 of the top 10 3A teams clash this Friday night in Hendersonville. It will be a contrast in styles as Hendersonville has lots of speed and likes to throw the ball (and run), and Heritage will ground and pound and has been pretty solid defensively.

Hendersonville has to get out to a good start and make Heritage play from behind. Heritage can't make mistakes and has to limit the big plays.

Heritage may still be a ground and pound team but number 24 for us has the potential to score anytime he touches the ball, we also pass a little better than most Heritage teams, I'd say we are inconsistent defensively we particularly struggle against the pass. I really think our o is our bread and butter this year and our d and special teams might end up costing us later on in the playoffs and maybe in this game.

This is a tough one to call but I am going to give the matchup nod to Hendersonville. I don't think the discrepancy at the line of scrimmage is as great as people think it is. Hendersonville has a really good d-line from what I've seen and where I think Hendersonville can separate themselves is on offense and on special teams. I don't think it's going to be easy, it will be a close game, but I give Hendersonville the edge at home.

I think heritage takes this game if they play a smash mouth game and win the battle in the trenches and establish long drives to keep Hendersonvilles offense off the field. If they don't turn the ball over and heritages defense can just get a couple stops then I think they will take it cause hendos offense will definitely go punch for punch score for score should be a good game

I like this assessment. The plan will be to approach Hendo similarly to how they approached Erwin. Ball control will be key. Special teams and pass defense scares me more than I care to admit so we shall see. I’m excited to see a great game and hope both teams play at a high level and execute.

Interesting matchup. Contrast of styles. If Mtn Heritage can control the clock and grind it out. As well as not give up too many big plays. They can win. Hendo prob should win.

I don’t necessarily think Hendo is the better team. I just feel like it’s a bad matchup for Heritage. It usually is between these 2 and Heritage finds a way but I have a gut feeling Hendo is gonna pull it off this time

Keys for mountain heritage is playing clean discipline football, And stopping the pass on defense. If they do those two things they win easily. If they fail to do those two things then it could get ugly. It's two opposite styles of football that require different techniques and whoever does their style of football the best, wins. Hoping for a big crowd friday night to cheer these kids on!!

Pass defense and special teams have been Heritage’s kryptonite for a long time. Clock management and turnovers will be key to this game. Give me heritage by 6

#70 is decent. Otherwise not impressed. I don’t see them hanging up front. And we have the RT back this week. We started 3 sophomores up front vs Mitchell and went for 370+

there has to be a plan in place to get pressure on their QB and bracket WRs or I’m inclined to agree though. Surely we don’t kick off to them either lol

When you have back like jones it sure helps the line . On couple of his runs he broke tackles out ran everyone

Two very good teams. I thought Heritage was one of the best I saw over the summer. Hendersonville’s defense is better than I thought they’d be. I’ll go with whatever team scores first….(bold prediction right there)
