I would have voted for 87' Yellow Jackets. With Bates, and Coghill's this team was nasty. Would have been a GREAT match up between the two. I remember watching film in the locker room on the 87 team and being absolutely blown away.
I agree. Th 87 Yellow Jackets were phenomenal and ran a completely different offense than the 2008 squad. In their time, they were tremendous. I also remember the 2008 squad. Atkins was the difference maker. Nobody could touch him as a skill player. The 2008 Jackets needed a Maury miracle to beat Monticelo in the semis. They got it. And the way the Logan Thomas Brookville team played the Jackets in the final was just horrible Coaching by Woody, who completely underestimated JM. Just kicking to them, in any form, was pure stupidity. But the Bees did it and they did it all game long. The Bees barely yielded 50 pt's all season in 2008. They did it in one game against JM.
the 87' jackets would have pounded the 08' team all day. But could they have stopped them? I believe so. At least enough to win. But it would be close. The 2008 squad could score at any time and from any position on the field. Flip a coin. The 87' crew was solid from top to bottom. With the 08' squad, anything was possible.
