Not quite a lock but greater than 50/50 even without beating Minnesota
Agree, but as I said in my thread on this, I'm guessing we're 80/20 in - would need to have all kinds of bubble mayhem to not make it - and I still think we get a tiny amount of credit for the OSU "loss" (the kind of credit that might move us up 1-2 spots in the pecking order, which could make the difference).

you never want to throw a Q4 on your resume late and then not win another game, while perception shouldnt matter with the committee, I am not convinced alot of the pre selection noise does not effect me

They have admitted in an interview that they do glance at the bracketmatrix to make sure they are not making some egregious mistake with a seed or selection. No Im not saying they use it, its just its hard to block out the noise

Let's hope...that 'loss' still ranckles me greatly!!!

As I posted earlier today win these next two ( tonite) and Minnesota and the pressure is off as a bubble team. Now go beat Minnesota and then finish it at home at against Northwestern.

Well for what its worth torvik's algorithm thinks that we are literally the first team out if we lose to Minnesota, Northwestern, then lose (in this simulation's case, to Wisconsin) in the BTT.

Given that his algorithm has rated us higher than most all season, I would say that no - we are not a lock.

Per Brad Wachtel, we're the only team in the field with 3 or more Q3/4 losses. Now granted, I think all 3 losses could be categorized as "high Q3", but we really need to show up on Thursday and not have a "low Q3" loss on the resume.

Yeah but counter that with Q1/Q2 wins. A team like UNC has 1(yes 1) Q1 win which just came against a reeling Virginia team
