Pulled from 615Dawg's predicted host teams that are on the bubble.

The good
Kentucky lost
Arkansas lost (twice)
Oklahoma lost (twice)
Arizona St lost
Notre Dame lost
Ole Miss lost (not that they are in position to host but it's always good when they lose)

The bad
#9 Louisville beat #18 UK
#12 UCLA beat #21 UC Irvine

The ugly
Arkansas got no hit

I don't understand why Arkansas keeps getting so much respect in the polls. I guess they get the benefit of the doubt because they started at #1. They are now 64th in RPI.

Yeah, it has been a good week for us. South Carolina getting swept actually makes me think the SEC is in position to only get three hosts. I actually agree completely with Mark Etheridge this week.

We took over Kentucky's host slot from last week.
Georgia Tech took South Carolina's.
I had UCLA hosting last week, he has them this week.

Indiana got swept by Michigan State. I thought they were a sure fire national seed. I think they will end up hosting, but not as a national seed.

We need to take care of business against Auburn and Alabama. 5-1 is possible there. If we can go 3-3 against South Carolina and Ole Miss, we'll host, with a chance for a national seed if we can win the series in Nashville.

Virginia and Florida State are playing this week. Loser of that series moves out of national seeds for now, but Arizona State is in front of us for moving up. If we were to sweep Auburn, and Arizona State were to drop a game to Valpo this weekend, we could pass them. Cal State Fullerton has a losable series this weekend as well. UCLA and Oregon play. If UCLA were to win the series, that would put some pressure on Oregon as a national seed, but it would also move UCLA up in contention.

I suspect that if we win every series, including Vandy, even if we lose a game in each, we'll be on the bubble for a national seed. That would put us at 12-5 the rest of the way. If we lose the Vandy series 1-2, a series win in every other set is needed, PLUS I think we'd need to sweep either Mississippi or SCar to get back in discussion for national seed.

I think 11-6 any way we get it gets us a host site, with 10-7 enough depending on who we beat.

Was wondering what ASU was doing playing Valpo this weekend and checked the PAC-12 standings. Colorado doesn't play baseball so they only have 11 teams. But what really jumped out at me was how much the 2 Oregon schools were dominating the league. 10-2 and 12-3 with no one else better than 7-5. And there are several pretty bad teams in that league.

Great question. I pointed that out when we lost our series up there, and UK for that matter. The line was 'guys calm down we lost to the preseason #1 team in the country', but it was obvious they have serious holes in their team.

That staff is loaded, but at the plate and defensively they aren't very good at all.
