MTSU-very winnable

Kaintuck-50/50

UPIGG-30/70-Hogs seem to have found their groove w/Smith and Mallete and tougher b/c its in Fayatte Nam

OM-30/70-Only way we have a chance is for them to be still doubting themselves on offense and our secondary and QB grows a clue

i think it will require an upset of UF (and of course a win at MTSU) to give us the momentum and confidence to finish strong and actually get in a bowl. And that's not very likely--however you never know. Talk about salvaging the season.

MTSU- I think we probably win unless something bizarre like this past week happens.

UK- More like 60/40 UK. They're not an easy team to beat- especially on the road. I would be surprised if we beat them.

Ole Miss- I'll call it 50/50 because we're at home. However, luck has not been on our side this year, UM still has Snead and while he has struggled, so has our secondary. He can stretch the field, which means trouble for our defense. Oh, and they have McCluster to. If UM won, I would not be surprised either. Pissed off, but not surprised.

I think we have very little chance of beating Arkansas. They have a QB that again can stretch the field, and beating them in Little Rock is probably tougher than Fayetteville. I honestly think we have a better shot against UF or Bama than Arkansas. 90/10 Arkansas.

Bama and UF- Both are significantly better than us and should beat us. Only saving grace that we have is that these are home games for us. Beating either would obviously be an upset of national proportions and would rate as one of the biggest in MSU history.

SO- for us to go to a bowl, we have to take care of business in Murfreesboro, play a mistake free game against UK like we did in 07, which we have yet to do this year, upset either Bama, UF, or Arkansas, and then win the Egg Bowl, which is not a given.

If we pulled it off, it would be unbelievable. It's not going to happen though.

Says this. 70 percent chance of winning at MTSU 5 percent chance of beating Florida 35 percent chance of beating Kentucky 2 percent chance of beating Alabama 20 percent chance of beating Arkansas 40 percent chance of beating Ole Miss Best chance of becoming bowl eligible is beating MTSU, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Arkansas. There is a 1.96% chance that all four of those happen. The hard way (Alabama, Florida, Kentucky and Arkansas)- there is only a 0.007% chance of all four of those happening. (a 1 in 14,286 chance) So, at best, there is a less than 2 percent chance of us getting to six wins. Win one of the last three games, and the chances jump to 9.8%, win two of the past three and the chances are 28%.

If we only had 4 games left (MTSU, UK, UM, and Ark) and assuming your numbers were correct, the chance of 4-0 is 1.96%.
The chance of beating MTSU, UK, UM and UF is .49%
The chance of beating MTSU, UK, UM and Bama is .196%
The chance of beating MTSU, UK, Ark and UF is .245%
The chance of beating MTSU, UK, Ark and Bama is .1%
The chance of beating MTSU, UM, Ark and UF is .3%
I'm already up to 3.291% with several more possible combinations.

There are multiple combinations to get 4 more wins. The final percentage is much higher than 1.96%

The tough get goin'. Who's with me? Let's go!

for things to be set in concrete....drives them crazy when things can't be mathematically calculated with certainty. BTW, I'm a business alum, and damn proud of it..the heart and soul of the "athletic supporters"

You are forgetting about the other 13 scenarios that get us to 6 wins. Taking them all into consideration and using your percentages of winning each game, there is a 3.6725% chance of us getting to 6 wins.

" Frozen white spherical shaped projectile located within the confines of a biblical location lauded over by one menacing fallen angel/demon like character for which many people on here will visit at the end of their pitiful lives" .......simply put!

Bring on basketball, a win over Ole Miss and next years football team (minus "Mini Lee" and the "Seven Warts" in our secondary.....(that and a case of Jack Daniels with a case of cokes.....I'm good)
