4 drafted vs 1. Guess Ole Miss can't claim that advantage next recruiting cycle.

Seems I read a million posts last year from Ole Miss fans on Rivals extolling the benefits of choosing Ole Miss over State that said, "Ole Miss sends players to the NFL, State doesn't!".<div>
</div><div>Ahem, 4 from State this year compared to 1 from Ole Miss, and all 4 of ours went b4 Powe. Not bad when you consider Nutt has supposedly had better overall talent. Way to go Dan Mullen & coaching staff. Great job Sherrod, Wright, McPhee & White! Now let's see of Brignone can land as a free agent.</div>

did the bears spend getting Powe into the school? Two or three I guess they knew what they were doing when they got him.
He's now NFL bound.

In OleMiss's defense, their senior class for this past season consisted of about 8-10 players, all of whom sucked pretty good. Powe was the one standout who had a down year from his junior season. The rest were the likes of Lionel breaux, markeith summers, Jeremy Mcgee(worst SEC corner in past 10yrs), and Allan Walker to name a few.

Here are some STATS for you guys, keep in mind these are FACTS not Opinions.

Since 2000(Included 2011 NFL draft:MSU OleMiss

1st Round Picks-1 6
Total Players Drafted-22 27
Total Players still on NFL Rosters- 19 27

-Ole Miss could still claim they send more players to the league if they wanted to based on facts, but overall both the schools are pretty similar when it comes to sending guys to the league, although ole miss has a much higher ratio of "Top" talent they have sent into recent drafts.

-Also D.Sherrod was 1 pick away from not being a 1st rounder...I can only imagine the collective sigh of relief State fans and Alumni let out when he was drafted by the packers Thursday night, at least to those who make a big deal out of things like this....such as all of you who have responded to this thread (Including me)

rather than the quality of the athlete. Choosing to start with 2000 is kinda silly when you factor in our stay on probation and out stint under Croom. With Mullen & staff, I suspect our players will do quite well on draft day going forward.
