Teams that are currently in the BCS top 10. How many other teams have even played 4 top 10 teams?

I didn't post that to make excuses for Mullen. He has needed to pull an upset, I get that. But during is tenure he has had to deal with an insane schedule. I suppose everyone in the SEC has had this.

We had real chances to win 3 of them too.

Injuuries, mental mistakes, questionable play calls, bad special teams, just can't do that against good teams.

But two of his wins were nail biters against the worst teams in the SEC, that easily could've gone either way.

Auburn could've too, Just sayin.

The only loss that still haunts me is Auburn. That ones going to be tough to get over. Especially if it becomes our 09 LSU.

College Gameday

5 of our losses are to teams that hosted or played in a game where College Gameday was this year. Just a random FWIW

Forty years ago we ended every season with Aub, Bama, LSU and UM and whined our asses off because that was just too tough for anyone to handle. Now we use the BCS for a measuring stick and are still whining our asses off because NOBODY has it tougher than us. The beat goes on and on and on. Would you schedule Chicken Littles be happier if we got out of the SEC cause I got news for you....it ain`t going to get no better.

3 of Ole Miss' are. Our other one was a top 10 til this past weekend (A&M). We've both played tough schedules this year.

I'm not sure why people gloss over this. We were a shoestring tackle away from losing to UK. And we beat Bowling Green by a single point.

We have typically played up or down to our opponent. No excuse for our inconsistency this year. We should have beaten Auburn no doubt about it. The only part that bothers me is everyone will say Mullen is 0-6 vs ranked teams this year but with no regard to the fact that 4 are in the top 10.

I doubt it. Don't think we would have beaten Texas on the road or Vanderbilt on the road. Probably have the same record. Ole Miss would have lost to Oklahoma State, they'd be one game worse.
