4 recruits we almost got that won't play D1 FB this year.

Da'Rick Rodgers- In his final 3, but we missed on him. Now suspended indefinitely from UT.
Greg Reid- I believe we were in his final 2 or 3 and we missed on him. Now dismissed from FSU.
Tobias Singleton- Grade problems, now transferred out of Ole Miss
Nick Brassell- Grade problems, now transferred out of Ole Miss


I know these guys helped their teams in various ways and would have been assets to us, but could Mullen have helped these guys stay the course at MSU? Would it have been worth the effort or have been a detriment to the team? We really haven't had anything this serious happen yet with guys this talented, but I don't think Mullen's had personalities like those 4 mentioned since he's been here. I just can't help but think these guys might have done well under Mullen's system and not gotten in trouble. Anyone else agree or disagree?

Each is different

I think Singleton might have done better at MSU simply because his skill set fits Dan's offense better than it fit Nutt's. Brassell- I'm not sure that he would have started over Banks and Slay. I would have used him on offense as well as a slot WR, but I'm not sure how much we would have used him simply because CB is his home and I'm sure we would have wanted him to focus on that.

As far as Rogers- I think Dooley runs a fairly tight ship. At least compared to Nutt.

I don't really remember Reid to be honest with you. But, like Dooley- I imagine that Jimbo Fisher runs a fairly tight ship.
