LSU (12-15) vs MSU
Alabama (12-15) at UT
UT (12-15) vs Alabama
Kentucky (12-15) at UGA

LSU swept UT and Bama, but got swept by Kentucky
Alabama got swept by LSU and lost 2 of 3 against Kentucky
UT got swept by LSU and won 2 of 3 against Kentucky
Kentucky swept LSU, beat Bama 2 of 3 & lost 2 of 3 against UT

I'll go with the 2 teams that are playing the worst 2 teams in the league: LSU & Kentucky.

Even though this has been a season to forget for us State fans, this last weekend should actually be somewhat entertaining. All of the battles above will determine the last 2 spots for the SECT. The AU v OM series could very well determine the winner of the SECW & the Florida v South Carolina series will determine the overall SEC Champion.

I know the DDDY 2010 is probably way more exciting & perhaps the most important champion to be crowned in the next week or two, but if you ever get bored, there should be some pretty good baseball to pay attention to (I know - it's hard to remember exactly what good baseball is), but I love this time of year. It's just too bad our season ends Saturday.....or is it?

If OM was in the same position State was in I wouldn't care what happened this weekend. Just being honest here.

In the latest NCAA RPI, released yesterday, the 4 teams fighting for 2 spots rank this way:

15. Alabama
21. Kentucky
22. LSU
39. Tennessee

All 4 of those teams are within that Top 45 range that usually gets you into the regionals, especially the top 3. If UT makes the SEC tourney, I could see an argument for 10 SEC teams making regionals. I want to say the latest SEBaseball projections had all of them with regional bids.

They have lost 12 out of last 14 games and the last 6 including 9 - 1 loss to Tulane last night. But have no fear, the MSU minstrel road show is coming to town.
