He just stands on the sideline with no emotion, no expression, watching haplessly. I think he has spent so much of his time and energy on the Sidney sideshow the past two years he has nothing left. I don't think he has the passion or energy for the job anymore and wouldn't be surprised if he offered his resignation before he had a chance to be fired.

But Rick looks like Orgeron looked when Carlson made the field goal at the end of the 2007 Egg Bowl, like he knows the jig is up. Even if we win these last two games and sneak into the tourney as a 12 seed, I don't think he'll be back next year.

But it seems like one thing you would never do with lacking depth/starters playing heavy minutes is to pocket your time outs. I understand you want to have a few late in the game in case of emergency, but it seems like you would take a few more throughout the game to give the main guys at least a little rest.

I think this has been mentioned during a few other losses this year as well?

Is that hard to understand....

</div>You said he will not quit because of the money. Then you said he will be forced to quit. That makes no sense. If he refuses to quit, he will be fired. Then again, that post makes about as much sense as most of your other posts.

Here's what will happen:

Stricklin will ask Stans for his resignation. He won't have to say it, but Stans will know that this isn't a request. If he doesn't resign, he'll be fired. So Stans will "retire" and take at least one year off, although it wouldn't surprise me to see him retire for good.

What the hell? You didn't post anything different than I did. Of course he will be asked to resign. Of course he will know that it is either that or be fired. He will either chose to resign or be fired. Fishwater posted that he wouldn't resign because of money, but that he would be forced to. He will have a choice, and he will choose between resignation or firing. But I do appreciate your enlightening breakdown of the conversation that will be had.

I agree. This year s different, even for Rick. He just stands there and watches. Especially at the end of close games. He just lets the end of the game play out. Even Bost said after a close game the Bost hesitated on the last possession because he expected Stans would call a timeout which never came.
