I really can't believe that, when it came down to it, Auburn was this stupid. Talk about getting too big for your britches. He just had probably the longest winning streak over Bama in school history, and now he loses one, to the #1 team in the country, and they fire him. Re-tard-ed.
Good call though, on the 48hrs.

.....hanging by the neck from a nearby bridge if Auburn were to hire Petersen. That would be a psychological death blow, especially knowing he's friends with Byrne.

Coaches are only getting 3 to 4 years to build a program and succeed. I would take Tubbs over here but I think it is terrible that Bobby Lowder cans him after one bad season.

Monday afternoon I posted that we would know Tubby's fate "within 24-48 hours" and I predicted that his fate would be shitcanned.

I got nothing else.

I am 'suggesting' to you, however, that Greg MF'n Byrne is not pursuing Tubs as a Plan A. I still have high hopes that we are going to be quite pleased. My hunches have been pretty damn good this week.

I heard Lowder never forgave him for showing him up during the Planegate scandal. As long as Auburn was winning championships and beating Bammer, Lowder couldn't touch him. This was his first chance.
