When you finally get to retire, you can take a lot of time getting there and coming home. Stopped in Mitchell SD to see the Corn Palace.

Wow, I had no idea what a Corn Palace was. Did some searching and it sounds great.

That whole area is pretty interesting. Mt Rushmore, Deadwood, Custer State Park.

That is my home state. I am going back there this weekend. I loved growing up in South Dakota but couldn't wait to leave after graduating from college. I am more of urban living fan than rural and the winters there are brutal-- plus during the summer the flies and mosquitos drive you indoors.
