Agree. I think the lower quadrant that we are in is insane too lol. Whoever comes out of the west is going to be beyond battle tested
I am not as familiar with all of the teams in the west. If they are a number two seed, how would they be an underdog or dark horse?
Not exactly a program that has established dominance or has been described as a favorite. that being said, it seems like they have a solid squad this year.
We are solid when healthy. We just are far from heathy right now. Last 2 games took a toll on us
I’ll be real… we aren’t the 2nd best team in 4A west. Even when healthy. Realistically, I think we are a 10th-15th place type of team. We’re good. But not elite
Who’s everyone putting on round 1 upset alert? I think South Iredell could give Watauga fits. Also think Providence can make that a very good game Vs Hough
Just by virtue of how the seeding works eg there was a three way tie in the Queen City but only one of those teams get the designated top seed (based on RPI) out of that conference.
I was told Watauga runs alot and their FB is going to N.C. State. South Iredell will have something on their hands I’m sure.
I like Northwest Guilford to come out of the top of that bottom bracket, and possible meet up with Chambers/Butler in the semi-final.

I meant how you could end up with a higher seed that isn't perceived as a favorite (or vice versa an underrated lower seed), in general, not that particular case. Prob didn't do a great job explaining that but wasn't trying to throw shade. The OOS games hurt a few of those teams this year as well re RPI.

I say solid in relative terms. For us it was a fantastic year. But we aren’t at that level… yet. I think we have a better chance over the next 3-5 years with what we have coming through.
As for this year, 9-1, 2 seed very successful year. But we’ve played one elite team, got hammered. Played 2 teams I would consider very good, won both. So we are somewhere in the middle lol
I see them pounding the ball all night, think its a 2 score game pulling away. they have rushed for about 3400 yrds and passed for about 670 yrds on the season.
That’ll be they’re downfall over the long term.
long term i can see that, 1st and 2nd games at home and throw in any weather and i think it helps
Northern finished in conference behind Ragsdale. Ragsdale beat Northern head to head. Since Northern finished behind Ragsdale, Northern can't jump Ragsdale to get in to the playoffs. So, Davie got in as the last team.
If I am Chambers I would be loving this. Butler to me is a year away and not too physical but can throw the ball around. Mooresville will be tough but I would favor Chambers. After that game it will be Weddington which I would favor Chambers. The bracket seems unbalanced.
Butler has the potential to beat any team in the playoffs. There are no easy routes imo. We’ve never won at the Creek, when we said a particular season would be our year. Most cases it never happens. I believe in the why not now.
Davie had a 119.6 rating vs 115.1 for Northern in Simmons ratings. Not sure their respective RPI's but shoot Myers Park was ahead of both of them

Northern tied Ragsdale in the Metro 4-A standings and lost the tiebreaker because of a head-to-head defeat. The Nighthawks could not leapfrog a Ragsdale team that finished ahead of them, even though the Tigers' RPI was No. 45.
