Re: 4A North Bracket

I believe this is incorrect. There was a bad bracket floating around for a while. It should be as you had posted it previously, which is below. Also, there are no overall seedings. Unless it is a 1 vs 2 seed out of a conference the location is predetermined at the school on top of the bracket (as it lays out) not by overall record, etc. Stupid in my opinion, but how I believe it works in 4A.

Re: 4A North Bracket

I honestly thought my original bracket was correct, but then I've seen this bracket posted on the VHSL website. I was under the impression that WF and LoCo were on opposite ends of the bracket until I saw the one I posted was on the VHSL website. Ridiculous

this was in roanoke times this morning:

Group 4A North using 1-through-8 seeding

The teams in the Group 4A North boys and girls tournaments have been seeded No. 1 through No. 8 with the higher seed playing at home on all occasions.

The four conference champions were seeded No. 1 through No. 4 at random, with the four runners-up seeded

No. 5 through No. 8.

William Fleming's girls, the Conference 24 champion, got the lowest seed possible at No. 4. The Colonels play No. 5

Fluvanna County at home tonight.

Carroll County's girls drew the No. 7 seed, while the boys are No. 8.

Carroll County coach Brad Hawks said Sunday that his team will leave Monday for its Tuesday game in Winchester against No. 1 John Handley.
