I believe one of us will make it. I don’t like this RPI crap. Win your games and win your conference and earn what you get. Our conference overall is not doing good. Our out of conference schedule has hurt us. Havelock and New Bern both have had a down year. New Bern has been like an anchor around our neck. That Pender win really helped East Duplin. We may have to go to Duplin county this year to play you. If so it’s going to be fun no matter who wins! Have the fireworks ready! I’ll always remember the fireworks pregame when you played the Eastern Championship there against North Davidson. Best High School entrance I have ever been to in person to witness. I still say it was better than NC States.

It is a little frustrating to have conference seem de-valued but in some teams cases I don’t know what “winning” your conference would look like where you have 3 classifications grouped together. Obviously, 1 classification theoretically wins the conference outright but then how do you “rank” the other teams in that conference. RPI’s probably the best way under the circumstances.
