Buy/Sell: The call to go for it on 4th and 15 was the worst in-game call Croom has made at MSU.

Hard to say - the punts @ GA and @ SC and even the punt @ La Tech in week 1 were close as well. Clearly someone is altering his punt situation chart b/c no one makes the wrong call on these like Croom.

But on a day when we had trouble making 5 yards on a play and the series after we pinned them and got a safety I'd almost have to say yes. Especially when getting a second safety would win you the game or if you held we'd get to run our best offensive play - the Pegues punt return.

We still had a puncher's chance to do something after failing to convert the 4th down. That being said, it was still a bad play call.

the ball hit the receiver's hands, and interference could have been called. Of course it was wrong. But football without intuition is not football, so sometimes a crazy call has to be made. The logical call is often not the best call. If it had worked, it would still be a horrible decision, but some folks would be calling it brilliant, and we would have won the game.

the fact that we can have this thread proves his stupidity as a head football coach. Hell, i bet the "Bear" would have punted the football.

Because other than a 30 yard pass down the middle of the field we couldn't figure out how to stop, Auburn couldn't move the ball. LA Tech was lighting us up in 4th quarter. Damn that is sad to say. We can stuff the #9 team in the country but can't hold one of the worst offenses in the country.
