You are what your record says you are, as Mack says. But I’m perfectly fine with being three plays away from being 6-0 and in the top ten. And one PAT away from apparently being the best team in South Carolina.

But we all know that Mack’s recruiting won’t be the lead story for long. Can you say Dennis Smith?

Your point is well taken. But to be accurate, there are no 16 point plays. But last year, we’d have been 1-5. What this team has missed is the ability to win. Look at the number of games in the last two years that UNC lead in the fourth quarter and ended up losing.
I was never a huge Mack Brown fan, but knew he was one of the best recruiters in the country. Now that he has some assistants and will get out of their way, he may be on to something on game day. We’ll see what happens, but I’d be sweating a little if I were recruiting North Carolina for other schools right now.

I'm a lifelong Clemson fan that doesn't have the highest opinion of North Carolina but I love Mack Brown as a coach and as a person. I hope NC wins out and we take care of our business so we can rematch in Charlotte.

Mack Brown's recruiting is at top level. I am not a big Tarheel football fan, but I've always said there is no need for UNC football team to ever be bad. UNC has to be considered the best "campus" in North Carolina. Southeastern United states high school football produces way to much talent for UNC not to be getting a handfu of top recruits yearly.

When Mack was at UNC earlier he owned the state in getting our best players. Good coach,best we could have got,other than Satterfield. I'm pulling for Carolina and always will.
