I hope this doesn't start the public school vs. private school argument but MRA won it's 5th straight Overall Championship Saturday. A feat that will probably never be repeated. Pictured are the seniors.

That boy can shoot the rock. I wonder if he wants to try at a Div 1 school or go for the small college and guaranteed playing time...

MRA will repeat next year with Kaleb and Justin graduating and i further doubt that anyone will win 5 overall championships in a row again. That was my point

Kaleb needs the money and Justin is on anacademic scholly. the rest in the picture is a doctors son, a lawyer's son, a preachers son, and engineers son and i don't think any of them need help. but i could be wrong

No dog in the fight, just thought after they were busted for doing that in the early 90's that they shut down the scholarships and the money train.

has been fueled by transfers. I don't know anything about scholarships or the like.

They've had much better in the past. Congrats to Richard and the dynasty. 5 in a row is quite the achievement at any level...

They have added an AAU coach to the staff. I am told coaching post players and recruiting are his specialties. While they may stay MAIS their plan is for all their "non league" games to be MHSAA and out of state.

This has been an impressive dominance.I played against these teams for 3 years and my teamwas the last to school other than MRA to win the Overall. And the year before we lost to them in OT. My senior year, 3 of their starters did not come to MRA until they were in 10th grade. My team had all players who had been their all their life minus one who came in 7th grade. One of their players who had been there forever was Bolen. This is an impressive feat but having transfers did help.

Speaking of, the skit on SNL when LeBron James played one of the kids on HSM was pretty damn funny.
