5A North Power Points with Max/Min

The race for the last spot is very close.

Tuscarora is on the verge of clinching a playoff spot. They would do so with one more win, in fact.

This is 5A North.

If you have a winning season you're in the playoffs.

So far that is Tuscarora and Massaponax, both at 7-0, which means they were in last week.

Briar Woods and Wakefield at 5 wins each are in also with at worst 5-5 seasons.

There are a number of teams at 4 wins that will probably be in. That will take another week of sorting but mostly it's vying (along with the first 4 mentioned) for which playoff spot.

Official VHSL power points this week have an error ...

The standings the VHSL posted this week has some errors in it - it appears several of the Aug. 22 games were deleted.

I'm told new standings will be posted soon.

Is your date correct? The VHSL master schedule does not list any games for Aug 22. It starts on Aug 29.

There were some games on Aug. 22. Generally on the master schedule you find these over on the right side (under Week 12 or whatever the last column is).
