Perhaps this comes down to everyone wanting to feel important and smarter then the rest? Just don’t want to be a rubber stamp for a “consensus”.

The committee needs to snub someone every year and underseed/overseed some teams to make it seem that they are extremely relevant and needed in this process. Honestly we should just automate the selection process already

I said this in another thread.

Where is the college basketball BCS formula?

Bottom line bubble teams don't have a strong resume which clearly separates them from other teams.Last season Rutgers got into the tournament with a worse NET but strung together some impressive wins at the end of the season. This season the opposite happened with a far better NET and worse won/loss record at the end of the season.Lesson learned win the games that you are supposed to win at home and away.Rutgers doesn't have the positive name recognition to leave the decision to the NCAA Committee.

Crazy it happens every year and in back to back years Rutgers was semi involved.

Never heard of BracketMatrix so looked at last year.
Interesting. Seems like a lot of work for a pretty meaningless collection of information.

Looks like TAM was just as much as a snub. Although they would have replaced ND - not us using strict BM numbers.

2022:
Texas A&M: 200/211 (94.7%)
Rutgers: 84/211 (39.8%)
ND: 74/211 (35%)

Yea teams get snubbed every year but nobody on this board should care about that lol.

What is worse to me is some of our so called fans justifying our snub. I know a few people like that. I call them every once in a never. Mopes.

They just better find someone else to snub next time.
If you are going to just decide to screw someone, pick on someone else going forward. You kicked us in the nuts in ‘23.
That’s our year. Now stay out of our way.

because every mid major conference would be a 1 bid conference. The pull of the NCAA is

1) everyone bets on it
2) david vs goliath

automate it, and there are no mid major at larges

Yeah I think this is the attitude . If we are on the bubble next year , we should be in. That’s why pike isn’t bashing the committee , like buzz Williams did. Committee paid buzz back this year with a low seed

I said in other threads. I'm okay with the tournament being less "but the TV ratings! Need more excitement" and more an actual athletic merit event.

95% of the public couldn't care less about it. They literally just go by the number.

Rutgers could be a 14 seed and make a run and it would garner the same exact excitement and ratings as Vermont as a 14 seed.
It's the number - not the team.

I haven’t seen one person on this board justify the snub.

But I did see people attack their own fans for suggesting Rutgers would play in Dayton.

NCAA created the NET to try and compare teams. And they apparently ignore it. It’s a joke

And always ****** undeserving teams from acc getting in because conference record is criteria now
That infuriates me, especially because the ACC this year had SIX teams with NET's higher than 120 and the Big 10 had only ONE team in that lowly category. So, in effect, ACC teams got to play a team like Minnesota 6-8 times to pad their record. thus, all conference wins are not created equal. Maybe the Big 10 was better off as a conference when RU, NW, PSU and Nebraska all sucked.

The bottom half of the ACC was dreck this year!
