. . . home of the 600-member band!

I know this school runs out of seats all the time on game night, but this is a bit over the top. Expect other districts to want the same thing shortly.

I graduated from Plano Senior High in 1997 before attending MSU. Allen was nothing but a AA school at best. The city of Allen became one of the fastest growing cities in the US for several years in a row and exploded in population. I don't follow it much as I now live in Costa Rica but I seem to remember my mother saying something a year or so ago about how big Allen High School was and that they exceeded my graduating class of 1,983 students from 1997.

For our high school graduation ceremony each student was allocated only 4 tickets to the ceremony.... imagine saying sorry grandma you can't go, uncle Jimmy gave me a bigger gift so I gave him your ticket.

This football stadium is something that seems a little ridiculous because of the price tag but I bet they said the same thing several decades when they built the one we played in while I was in high school....

The facilities are phenomenal but so is the support for the teams and the funding. Texas puts lots more money in the schools themselves. The athletic facilities have to wait.

The biggest culture shock in moving here three years ago is just how much money and effort they put in education right down to the elementary level. Lake Travis High, which is right across the canyon from me and has won back to back state titles has it's own multipurpose indoor practice facility with turf for football, baseball, etc. Tons of money in the athletic budget but it pales to what they have spent in the school itself. I was really impressed.

old quarry, football, soccer, everything. Since multiple schools use it they can make it that much more awesome.

It's basically two uninformed rednecks reading headlines and blowing things out of proportion.

so I have to ask, do they still harp on pit bulls and the number of school districts in Mississippi? That was basically half of every show for awhile.

Its always:

Pit bulls
School Districts
Billy McCoy

In principle, I tend to agree with them, but at least once a show they say something so absurd and get pissed if someone calls them out. Basically their rotation is this:

Drudgereport.com headlines, mixed with clarion ledger headlines, with a couple of Jackson Jambalaya headlines and Fark.com headlines.

And JT Williamson, I know you read this board. Hello.

Watching 2,000 students walk across a stage one at a time probably isn't high on her to-do list.
